Boosting the solar water oxidation performance of a BiVO4 photoanode by crystallographic orientation control

A BiVO₄ with a preferred [001] orientation and exposed {001} facets were grown epitaxially on FTO via a laser ablation, achieving the state-of-the-art photoelectrochemical performance for solar water-oxidation.
