Application and research progress of Eucommia ulmoides gum in rubber field

The compatibility of Eucommia ulmoides gum (EUG) with other synthetic rubbers, the discovery of bio-metabolic synthesis of EUG, and the new research methods for crystallization of EUG were summarized with 59 references. In this review, the chemical modification methods and application in the fields of the tire, functional film materials, shape-memory materials of EUG were discussed in detail. And its development trends were also prospected.
