Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Image Quality Considerations

Characteristics of radar scattering, the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging process, and display devices are considered with respect to their effects on the quality of the resulting image. A set of SAR image quality measures which relate to application information requirements are specified, and associated measurement techniques are presented.
