Mechanism of BK501A in desiliconization from bauxite was studied by use of flotation test, flocculation test,EDS,ζ-potential,IR.Results of flotation show that the diaspore can be strongly depressed when BK501A is put into pulp, but it almost has not any effect on the flotability of kaolinite. In the light of surface analyses,it is concluded that the adsorption of reagent on the diaspore is dominated by hydrogen bond,by which selective-flocculating appears.
