The Principle and Operation of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM)

Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) is a statistical method that states the relation between observation variables and latent variables or among the latent variables by linear equation system. Currently, SEM and relevant LISREL software is being used widely in the social disciplinary studies such as psychology. The article presents the characteristic and principle of SEM and the operation of LISREL.
