Study on damage mode and stability of tension crack body in a high steep slope at Pubugou hydroelectric power station

In order to study the stability for high and steep slope with the tension crack body in Pubugou hydroelectric power station,its failure modes were classified,such as collapse like groove,tension fracture with dumpage,tension fracture with slippage,tension fracture with slippage and press according to its engineering geology condition.And its stability was simulated and analyzed by numerical simulation software-PLAXIS and indoor testing.The results showed that its failure mode are collapse of loosening zone and slippage with tension fracture of dumpage zone and tension fracture at present,which offers the reliable reference for confirming the treatment schedule of subsequent engineering and a sample for analogous engineering.
