Stability Analysis of Elliptic Cylindrical Shells Subjected to Axial Compression

Basic fuctions in the form of displacement are established about elliptical cylindrical shell.Assuming the displacement function of both ends supported elliptical cylindrical shell,the local buckling critical load subjected to axial compression are solved using Galerkin method.Then the critical loads are discussed compared with cylindrical shell.
