Analysis on Surveying,Mapping and Geoinformation Upgrading and Supporting Disciplines

The first national Geographical Conditions Survey has begun,it marking the department of Surveying,Mapping and Geoinformation upgrade from providing basic map transformation to provide geospatial intelligence. This paper analyzed the different levels of the geographical science service life,showed the Geospatial Intelligence is the monitoring results of geographical environment. Combined with the development status and trend of international surveying,mapping and geoinformation,revealed the Geographical Conditions Monitoring is the acquisition of Geospatial Intelligence,and identified the direction and focus of the Department of Surveying,Mapping and Geoinformation upgrading. This paper also discussed the core supporting disciplines and emerging field of Geospatial Intelligence,put forward countermeasures and suggestions.
