Fast determination of micro short circuit in sintered MH-Ni battery

The discharged sintered MH-Ni battery was discharged to 0 V with 0.5Ω resistor to measure the open circuit voltage change of the battery. The result shows that the open circuit voltage recover of the battery is relative to micro short circuit. If the voltage can't recover to above 1.0 V in a short time or the voltage comes back to 1.0 V but it can't be maintained, that means that this battery exists micro short circuit. With this method, the micro short circuit in a battery can be initially determined in a short time.
