Objective To observe the changes of serum IGF-1 in lung cancer patients before and after operation,so as to explore the clinical value to operation effect and postoperative surgico-pathological stating.Methods The serum IGF-1 in 38 lung cancer patients were detected before and after operation by radioimmunoassay,as well as in 36 normal controls.The variation of serum IGF-1 before and after operation were analyzed,and the relations of IGF-1 and pathological type and postoperative surgico-pathological stating were evaluated.Results The serum IGF-1 in lung cancer patients were significantly higher than normal people(P0.01).Compared with those of preoperation,the level of serum IGF-1 decreased dramatically after operation for two weeks(P0.01).There were not obvious differences in the patients with different pathological type(P0.05).But there were significant differences in the patients with different postoperative surgico-pathological stating(P0.05).Conclusion Detection of serum IGF-1 was helpful to judge the operation effect and postoperative surgico-pathological stating of lung cancer.
