Clinical analysis and nursing experience of postoperative bleeding in patients undergone tonsillectomy

Objective To investigate the nature and nursing care of postoperative bleeding in patients undergone tonsillectomy.Methods From January 2009 to June 2010,205 consecutive patients uderwent tonsillectomy were studied retrospectively.The nature of postoperative bleeding in patients undergone tonsillectomy and the corresponding nursing management were studied.Results Twelve cases underwent tonsillectomy occurred postoperative bleeding,the rate was 5.85%.Of them,10 cases were primary bleeding,2 secondary bleeding.The postoperative bleeding patients were treated in time and uneventfully.Conclusion Understanding the nature of the postoperative bleeding in patients undergone tonsillectomy by nurse would help to reduce the opportunity of postoperative bleeding.
