We have studied, by XRD, TPR and performance evaluation, the effects of the preparation method on catalytic activities of conversion of CH4 with CO2 to syngas over NiO/γ-Al2O3 catalysts. Under the present experimental conditions, the catalyst with NiO/γ-Al2O3(ω = 0. 113), which was obtained through impregnation process and calcination temperature 400℃ , exhibited its good catalytic activity during the conversion of CH4 and CO2, when the reaction temperature was 750℃ and the space velocity was 2500h-1. The problem of catalyst's resistance to the carbon deposition has also been preliminarily discussed in the paper.
