摘要
Although organic–inorganic hybrid metal halides have made great progress in the field of luminescence, the quest for corresponding white-light-emitting solids with high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) and an excellent color rendering index (CRI) is still ambitious. Bismuth is a reliable and promising alternative to lead halides, but undoped bismuth halides with efficient white light are especially rare. Herein, we report a zero-dimensional (0D) metal halide, namely, [H2DPA]BiCl5 (DPA = di(2-picolyl)amine) featuring white-light emission with a high PLQY of 26.93% and a CRI of 88, which could be attributed to the synergistic interaction of inorganic and organic units. Remarkably, the compound exhibits considerable structural and spectral stability, showing potential application in white-light-emitting devices.
