[Treatment strategy of lateral canals during root canal therapy].

Lateral canals are small branches from the main root canal, usually extending from the dentin and cementum into the periodontal ligament, mostly located at the lower 1/3 of the apical portion. Due to the complex and varied anatomical morphology as well as the high incidence, it becomes an important factor affecting the effect of root canal therapy and a difficult point in this process. It is of great clinical significance to master the treatment strategy of lateral canals during root canal therapy.
