摘要
With the application and popularization of new energy vehicles, the demand for high energy density batteries has become increasingly higher. The increase in nickel content in nickel-rich materials leads to higher battery capacity, but inevitably brings about a series of issues that affect battery performance, such as cation mixing, particle microcracks, interfacial problems, thermal stability, and safety. In order to better address the issues associated with nickel-rich materials, this paper provides a brief historical review of nickel-rich materials in chronological order, explores the sources of nickel-rich materials and the current hot issues, and proposes forward-looking suggestions for solving these problems. This review can provide researchers with a profound and clear understanding of nickel-rich materials, and provide next-step research plans for addressing the issues associated with nickel-rich materials, as well as unique insights into the industrialization process.
