摘要
This study aims to overcome the difficulties elderly individuals face in performing exercises effectively due to mobility issues or lack of professional guidance, thus promoting the technological advancement of health management for the elderly. This study selects 30 frail elderly individuals over 65 years old and sets up a control group and an experimental group. The control group does not receive any training, while the experimental group employs AI and VR-based Baduanjin training for 12 weeks. The effectiveness of Baduanjin in improving physical function in the elderly is assessed using indicators such as overhead squat, left shoulder flexibility, right shoulder flexibility, trunk stability push-up, left rotation stability, and right rotation stability. The study results indicate significant improvements in the experimental group across all indicators. For the overhead squat, the p-value for the experimental group significantly decreases from 0.51 (standard deviation (SD) = 0.15) before the intervention to 0.01 (SD = 0.02) after the intervention, while the control group’s p-value increases from 0.51 (SD = 0.15) to 0.58 (SD = 0.16). For left shoulder flexibility, the experimental group’s p-value decreases from 0.89 (SD = 0.20) to 0.71 (SD = 0.18), whereas the control group’s p-value decreases from 0.89 (SD = 0.20) to 0.58 (SD = 0.19). In terms of the independent sample t-test, the experimental group’s overhead squat score markedly decreases from a t-value of 0.69 (SD = 0.12) before the intervention to −2.76 (SD = 0.14) after the intervention, while the control group’s t-value adds from 0.69 (SD = 0.12) to 0.57 (SD = 0.13). For right shoulder flexibility, the experimental group’s t-value arises from 0 (SD = 0.10) to 0.3 (SD = 0.11), while the control group remains unchanged (SD = 0.10). The study confirms that combining Baduanjin with modern technology can remarkably improve the elderly’s physical functions. The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of an AI and VR-based Baduanjin training system in improving the frailty of elderly individuals. The study aims to offer an intelligent and convenient health intervention method to help the elderly enhance their physical function and quality of life.
