摘要
In this paper we discuss the critical parameters of optical interfaces to transmitting promising high-speed service traffic at rates of 100 Gbps and higher. The parameters of optical network line are identified and investigated: modulation, baud rate, bandwidth of optical channel, optical power of the line signal at the input of the optical transport section of the network (output optical power of the equipment), optical signal/noise ratio for the signal at the output of optical transport section of the network, mainly affecting the achievement of rates at the required distance without intermediate regeneration units. Examples of standardization of high-speed optical interfaces are given. The issues of testing the parameters of optical interfaces of high-speed telecommunication systems are considered.
