This paper distinguishes between two important concepts of prominence and foregrounding in stylistics,discusses the relationship between style and foreounding and analyzes the model of stylistic analysis.Through the analysis of examples,the paper demonstrates the analytic function of foregrounding and proves its significance in the field of stylistic analysis.
