Study on properties of epoxy resin/graphite composite prepared by in situ polymerization

Epoxy resin/graphite composite materials were prepared by in situ polymerization,and thermo gravimetric(TG),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and mechanical properties of the materials were analyzed.The results showed that Shore hardness and bending strength of materials varied with the amount of graphite,and they were all improved greatly by an optimal content of 17.44%(mass fraction).The bending strength was 22.4 MPa and Shore hardness was 5.21 HD.The electrical properties and heat-durability of the materials were increased by adding graphite particles,and the heat resistance temperature was about 350 ℃.
