Growth and Property of New Type Magneto-optical YFeO_3 Crystal

Novel magneto-optical crystal YFeO3(yttrium orthoferrite) has attracted more attentions for its superior properties recently,such as high faraday rotation in the far-red wavelength,low saturation magnetization and high Curie temperature etc.Therefore,it is regarded as a prospective magneto-optical material.The growth and properties of YFeO3 crystal were introduced in this paper based on recent investigation situation.
