Comparison of MMIC phase shifters using figure of merit as the main characteristic

The review of the published data (1991-2003) for MMIC phase shifters is performed. For the analysis of the characteristics of the considered phase shifters the universal parameter (figure of merit) is introduced and used to compare the phase shifter characteristics based on different switching elements.
