3.1.3 A study of heterogeneous network deployment for WiMax and current wireless LAN

Abstract In Taiwan, Trial‐and‐error method is adopted in practice in the Base Station (BS) deployment of complex heterogeneous wireless local area network, which is subject to high uncertainty and high cost. Based on existing WiFi hypothesis signal demand, the author utilizes hierarchical clustering method in the SPSS analysis, and combines with different weights, to calculate the LOS and NLOS. The outcomes show that the new method can cover the entire area with less number of BS.
