Retiming 2.24 Gbit/s and demultiplexing 2.24 to 1.12 Gbit/s in an optical transmission system by means of a single-gate field-effect transistor

In the letter a circuit is presented which can be used for retiming and demultiplexing in Gbit/s applications. Taking advantage of the three-port properties of a field-effect transistor only one transistor is needed.
