Polarization Managed Sagnac Sensing Interferometer with Inherent Backscatter Rejection

We propose a new polarization managed Sagnac hybrid interferometer for precision sensing. This sensor has the unique feature of inherent Rayleigh backscatter rejection, which can overcome traditional sensitivity limits in fiber gyroscopes.
