INVENTANDO A TRADIÇÃO: ENGLAND MY ENGLAND, DE D. H. LAWRENCE, E ENGLAND, ENGLAND, DE JULIAN BARNES

The aim of this study is to compare England, My England, by D. H. Lawrence, with England, England, by Julian Barnes, to examine how the question of cultural identity and national culture are inscribed in these works and contribute to the representation of the notion of Englishness and reveal themselves constructs created from a speech that gives sense, influences and organizes the actions of the individuals and the conception we have about ourselves.
