A new species of 'Bracon' (Hymenoptera : Braconidae) from South Africa with exceptionally long mouthparts : short communication

We describe here a new species of Bracon Fabricius which displays a rare mouthpart specialization for the extraction of deep-lying nectar. The species' extremely long maxillary palps, when apposed, form a drinking tube.
