Urban Neighborhood Planning and Design Based on Sustainable Development: Analysis of the Winning Projects of the International Architecture Competition for Stockholm’s Nya rstafltet Neighborhood in Sweden

The design of sustainable urban neighborhood is not only a hot issue of current research on urban planning, but also a promoted theme for future urban life. Through the analysis of the winning projects of the international architecture competition for Stockholm’s Nya rstafltet neighborhood in Sweden, the paper mainly explores the creative concepts and strategies of urban neighborhood planning and design in Sweden, from the aspects of urban coherence and sustainable development, urban mix and exciting juxtapositions of old and new, public spaces with clear identity, and so on. Based on the winning projects of Nya rstafltet neighborhood, some implications for urban and neighborhood development in China are summarized.
