The Dyeing Properties of PTT Fiber

According to the research by Shell Co. and Dystar Co., the disperse dyes absorption and dye-uptake, dyeing temperature, pHevalue, dye leveling and dye fastness of PTT fiber are reviewed. The fiber can be dyed deep colour at temperature of 100℃ and there were two fast absorption regions between temperature of 60～80℃ and 90～100℃. PTT fiber is a kind of easy dyeing fiber and dyeing time is 30～40 mins at the highest dyeing temperature. The high temperature dyeing with disperse dye is 120℃. The pH value adjustment is not needed with 100℃ normal temperature dyeing. The dye-fastness of PTT fiber with disperse dye is very good.
