Large and giant intracranial aneurysms is the maximum diameter more than 1.0 cm and 2.5 cm. Several endovascular modalities including parent artery occlusion, coiling alone, stentassisted coiling, liquid embolic agent or mixed coil embolization, cover stent, flow diverter may be applied for treating these aneurysms. The application of each method is accompanied on constant acknowledgement of aneurysm pathogenesis and progress of the treatment concept. The aim of this review was to summarize the progress of endovascular modalities in the treatment of large and giant intracranial aneurysms.
