Recently, streaming media distribution in controllable P2P environment has become another study hotspot.Helper assisted delivery is peculiar to controllable P2P,and there are seldom researches on this topic. To solve existing problems in current schemes,a helper-assisted P2P streaming media distribution scheme is presented.Architecture and pertinent algorithms, such as resource assignment, resource scheduling etc.,of this scheme are fully formulated.Compared with other schemes, this one needs not special encoding for delivering media data, and is totally compatible to data-driven pattern.Simulation proves that this uncoded helper-assisted mechanism greatly improves streaming performance. This scheme is feasible and quite effective.
