A highly luminescent copper( i ) halide complex scintillator for X-ray imaging applications

A series of Cu 2 X 2 L 2 complexes exhibiting bright green emission were synthesized. A scintillation screen fabricated by embedding Cu 2 I 2 L 2 within a sucrose octa-acetate matrix demonstrates promising potential for security inspection applications.
