Cross-coupling reaction of cyclic quaternary ammonium salts with arylzinc reagents, arylboron reagents, and silylboronates

The Ni-catalyzed reaction of benzocyclic quaternary ammonium salts with aryl-zinc or -boron reagents affords amino-retentive arylation products, while the reaction with PhMe 2 SiBpin in the presence of LiO t Bu gives amino-retentive silylation products.
