P‐185: Influence Factors of Dark Viewing Angle of Vertical‐Alignment Liquid Crystal Displays

Dark viewing angle is one of the important indicators for assessing the picture quality of display panels. By using simulation results and physical insight provided by Extended Jones Matrix Method, we explain why LC pre‐tilt is the crucial factor of dark viewing angle of VA LCD, and also discuss other possible factors.
