Asymmetric aldol reaction catalyzed by amino acid tetrapeptides (l-Pro-l-Pro-l-Phe-l-Phe-OMe)

The heterogeneous oligopeptide catalyst l -Pro- l -Pro- l -Phe- l -Phe-OMe was synthesized using aromatic amino acids and proline dipeptides. The product has a high ee value (up to 98%) in catalyzing the aldol reaction.
