Sustainable synthesis of thiosulfonates and disulfides by molybdenum-catalyzed selective oxidation of thiols

We report a polyoxomolybdate ([N( n -Bu) 4 ] 4 Mo 8 O 26 ) for the selective oxidation of thiols to thiosulfonates and disulfides with H 2 O 2 and air as the oxidant, respectively.
