Anaerobic membrane bioreactors for treating high organic content wastewater and reducing fugitive greenhouse gas emission

AnMBRs effectively treat organic rich wastewater, achieving 87–99% COD removal and resulting in low GHG emissions. Further research to reduce the physical footprint and operational complexity will expand AnMBR applications for industrial wastewater.
