A neat and practical platform for the conversion of CO 2 and epoxides into cyclic carbonates using zinc( ii )–imidazo[1,5- a ]pyridine catalysts

Imidazo[1,5- a ]pyridine-Zn( ii ) catalysts produced cyclic carbonates from CO 2 and epoxides under solvent-free conditions using a balloon of CO 2 . Catalysts were capable of consuming CO 2 from scooter exhaust gas, enabling a practical societal benefit.
