Objective To explore the effect on general anesthesia and epidural anesthesia of old age patient for the delirium formation rate after operations, and through the early treatment to reduce its formation rate. Methods Select old age patients 50 cases for stock bone replaces surgery, the age is 70~85 years old,ASAⅡ-Ⅲ,were randomly divided into 2 group: A group(n=20,general anesthesia),B group(n=20,epidural anesthesia).During and after operations, the changes of ECG,HR,BP,SpO2,PEtCO2 and deliration in two groups were observed. Results During and after operations, the changes of ECG,HR,BP,SpO2,PEtCO2 in two groups have no significance differences(P0.05).The delirium formation rate of A group(52%) is higher than B(8%) group after operations(P0.05). Conclusions The delirium formation rate of old age patient after general anesthesia is obviously higher than that of after epidural anesthesia. Therefore the early treatment should be carried as soon as possible to reduce its formation rate.
