The cross-linked starch microspheres were used as carrier to adsorb Pb2+ from aqueous solution, and the effect of the pH, temperature, concentration of Pb2+ aqueous solution on adsorption amount was investigated. The kinetics of the adsorption process was also studied. The starch microsphere was characterized by Scan electron microscope, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results showed that the optimum pH value of adsorption was 5~6,to certain degree, The adsorption capacity in creased with temperature .the adsorption behavior of the microspheres for Pb2+ is adapted to Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherm equation.and the apparent adsorption activation energy is 2.210 kJ·mol-1
