Objective To study the protective effect of sika deer immunocyte active factor(SIAF) on the gastric mucosa lesion caused by absolute ethyl alcohol in mouse model. Methods Divide 24 healthy KM mice into test, model and control groups equally. After fasting for 24 hours, the mice in test group were administered with 0.2ml SIAF once a day for 7 days, and either of the other 2 groups with 0.2ml physiological saline. At the same time of the last administration, perfuse 0.3ml ethyl alcohol into the stomach of each mouse in test and model groups, and 0.3ml dH 2O into that in control group.Kill the mice one hour later, detect ulcer index, and observe the severity of gastric haemorrhage.Detect the expression level of EGFR on gastric mucosa by immunohistochemical method, and the nitric oxide content in sera by enzyme method. Results Compared with that of test group, the ulcer index of model group was significantly high, and the gastric haemorrhage was significantly severe. Both the expression level of EGFR on the gatric mucosa around lesion and serum nitric oxide content in test group was significantly higher than those in model group. Conclusion SIAF showed significantly protecive effect on the gastric mucosa lesion caused by absolute alcohol.
