Method of Earthquake Monitoring by Nontidal Variation of Gravity Direction

A method on earthquake monitoring by modern vertical deflection was given in this paper.It was shown that there was association between earthquake and vertical displacement and tilt(vertical deflection) on the ground level,according to the fact that most of the recent earthquakes happened in China were relevant to local crustal tilt.Since crustal tilt was determined by ground gravimetrial data and vertical deflection data together,the assumption and proposition were proposed on forecasting earthquakes epicenter by gravity direction intersection method,and relational discussion and experiment were carried out.The preliminary experimental results confirmed the availablility of this method.
