Clinical observation of treatment of paraquat poisoning by hemoperfusion

Objective To observe the efficacy of hemoperfusion in treatment of paraquat poisoning.Methods The experiment group(22 cases) were treated with hemoperfusion based on the conventional treatment and the efficacy was observed.The control group(16 cases) were not treated with hemoperfusion.Results Fourteen cases died in the experiment group.The fatality rate of treatment group is 63.6% and the fatality rate of control group is 87.5%(P0.05).Conclusions Hemoperfusion in treatment of paraquat poisoning may increase the cure rate and reduce mortality and is a good method to cure araquat poisoning.
