摘要
Electric Vehicles (EVs) are the most sustainable form of transportation because it offers zero emission to the environment. In the radial distribution network, the installation of EV Charging Stations (EVCS) is important for fulfilling the demand of charging in various locations while reducing the unwanted impacts on the power system networks. Optimally installation of EVCS has been demonstrated on IEEE 33 bus distribution network. Without dividing the area, the position of EVCS are next to each other and a wider area is still unserved. To avoid this problem the area has been divided for providing charging facilities in different locations. The objective is the minimization of active power loss so that a healthy power system network can be maintained. This problem has been formulated as a problem of optimization for finding the best location to install EVCS in the IEEE 33 bus radial distribution network by using the Particle Swarm optimization (PSO) and Symbiotic Organisms Search (SOS) algorithm.
