Fundamental studies of ruthenium species supported on boron nitride nanotubes: metal loading and pretreatment effects on CO oxidation

RuO x /BNNT catalysts were prepared with varying metal loadings and under oxidation and reduction conditions. RuO x /BNNT showed superior catalytic activity than Ru/BNNT. The catalyst will be favorable to the ER mechanism over the LH mechanism.
