High-entropy alloys (HEAs) are defined as alloys that contain five or more principal elements in equal or near-equal atomic ratios. Rapid solidification can yield amorphous HEAs, denoted as high-entropy bulk metallic glasses (HE-BMGs), which have the advantages of HEAs and MGs, and thus, great potential as high-temperature amorphous materials, coating materials with high hardness and wear resistance, and corrosion-resistant materials. In this work, the atomic structure, glass-forming ability, thermal stability, and mechanical properties of HE-BMGs were reviewed. We discussed the effect of high entropy on the properties of HE-BMGs in detail.
