ChemInform Abstract: Interstitial Hydrogen in the Early‐Transition‐Metal Halides.

Abstract In the past, the ZrCl and ZrBr structure types are believed to be adopted by the Group 3 and many lanthanoid metal halides, but a more careful analysis of the diffraction data indicate the presence of significant amounts of interstitial species such as hydrogen or oxygen in these layered halides.
