Hydropulsor AB,Sweden,has solved the facility problem that restricted the industrial application of high velocity compaction(HVC) technique after it manufactured and sold its unique hydraulic impactor,which will certainly speed up the development of the HVC technique greatly.Hereby the characteristics of the HVC technique is introduced which contain the compaction pressure,compaction velocity,and density distribution of green compact and the ejection pressure as well.A thermal softening shear densification mechanism during powder metallurgy(P/M) high velocity compaction is proposed and discussed,and a corresponding compaction equation: lnφ=k_1ΔH_L/k_2exp[k_2(1-P/ΔH_L)]+C,is derived,which is supported and proved by the author's experimental results and the published data.The experimental results show that this equation has satisfying precision and comprehensive applicability.
