Research on Impacts of Western Expressway Construction on Swamp Resources and Protective Measures

The swamp is recognized as the kidney of the earth with great environmental functions and benefits,however the expressway construction is inevitable to bring certain adverse impacts on swamps along the expressway.This paper analyzes the influences of western expressway construction on swamp ecological system including swamp area being occupied,damage to dynamic hydrological conditions,water loss and soil erosion being caused,pollution to swamp environment and damage to biodiversities in swamp,etc,and puts forward target-oriented measures for protecting swamp accordingly.
