Through simulation of borosilicate float glass polishing process by using self-made mini-tin bath,equilibrium thickness of borosilicate float glass was measured and effect of time on polishing quality at 1 250℃ was studied by using atom force microscope(AFM).The results show that equilibrium thickness of borosilicate float glass is thicker than that of soda lime float glass.Besides,equilibrium thicknesses of borosilicate float glass decrease with increasing of temperature,e.g.7.11 mm at 1 250℃ and 7.36mm at 1 200℃.Satisfactory polish of borosilicate float glass can be obtained when it dwells on molten tin bath for 3 min at 1 250℃.
