The transcriptional levels of Toll-like receptors(TLRs) in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) from piglets were detected by real-time RT-PCR.The results showed that mRNA levels of most TLRs,except TLR2 and TLR10,were down-regulated at 3 days post-inoculation(DPI).Whereas the expression levels of TLR2 at 24 and 40 DPI were significantly higher in piglets with P1 infection than that in healthy controls(P0.05);TLR9 mRNA expression at 31 and 40 DPI showed an upward trend(P0.1).These results suggest that the inflammation reaction mediated by TLR2 and TLR9 might play an important role in recognizing P1 and participating in the pathogenesis of P1.
